Small purple‑flowered plant growing between paving stones, thriving despite recent hot weather.
A tiny plant has pushed up between my paving stones and survived the recent hot weather. I’m hoping readers can help identify it and advise whether it can be grown from seed or encouraged elsewhere in the garden.

Nature’s Smallest Fighter in My Garden

During the recent hot spell, when most plants have been struggling for moisture, a tiny burst of purple appeared between two paving stones in my garden. With barely any soil, no shade, and no help from me, this little plant has pushed through the heat and hard ground to produce a handful of bright flowers. It’s a small thing, but its determination makes it hard to ignore.

What fascinates me is how it has thrived where it shouldn’t. No watering, no compost, no careful planting, just sheer resilience. It’s made me wonder what it is, how it found its way into that narrow crack, and whether it’s something that could be encouraged to grow elsewhere in the garden through seed or other means.

So I’m turning to readers for help. If you recognise this tiny pavement bloomer, I’d love to know its name and whether it can be grown deliberately. Please add your comments below,

Your knowledge might help this little survivor find more places to flourish.
