Billy Bunter does nor want a holiday
Cinderella Drags Billy Bunter on Holiday Before He Can Say “I Say!”
Cinderella has had enough of Billy Bunter’s dithering — so she drags him off on a holiday he never asked for. A light, humorous tale of indecision, determination, and a very reluctant traveller heading toward adventure.
Billy Bunter had barely dusted the rabbit‑hole soil off his blazer when Cinderella made her next announcement — loud, firm, and with the authority of someone who had absolutely had enough.
“We’re going on holiday,” she declared.
Bunter froze mid‑crumb. “I say… holiday? Now? Without a committee meeting? Without a vote? Without—”
“Yes,” Cinderella said, already dragging a suitcase out of nowhere. “Before you talk yourself out of it.”
Bunter blinked. “But I haven’t decided if I want a holiday.”
“You haven’t decided anything since 1910,” she replied, grabbing him by the sleeve with the same determination she’d used to haul him down a rabbit hole. “Which is why I’m deciding for you.”
The white rabbit, still polishing his pocket watch, muttered, “She’s got a point.”
Cinderella marched ahead, long red hair flowing like a warning flag. Bunter stumbled behind her, arms flapping, crumbs flying, spectacles wobbling.
“I say, where exactly are we going?” he puffed.
“Somewhere sunny,” she said. “Somewhere cheerful. Somewhere you can’t hide behind a pantry door.”
Bunter looked horrified. “Sunny places mean walking. And walking means sweating. And sweating means—”
“—you’ll cope,” Cinderella cut in. “I’ve booked Wonderland‑on‑Sea. Non‑refundable.”
The rabbit nodded solemnly. “Excellent beaches. Terrible excuses.”
As they reached the signpost — Sensible pointing left, Absolutely Not pointing right — Cinderella didn’t hesitate. She yanked Bunter firmly toward the latter.
“Come along, Billy. Adventure awaits.”
Bunter whimpered. “I say… can’t we think about it first?”
“No,” she said, tightening her grip. “If I wait for you to decide, we’ll be here until next Christmas.”
And so, with a sigh that could have powered a small windmill, Billy Bunter was dragged off on the holiday he never asked for — led by the one woman in all the fairy‑tale realms who refused to let him dither.
Somewhere behind them, the rabbit called out, “Don’t forget your sunscreen!”
Bunter groaned. Cinderella smiled.
And the holiday began before he could say “I say!”
